Dr. Shawn Ferguson is the proud father of four children, ages 31, 26, 24, and 22, all of whom were born at home. He has been in practice for 26 years and is committed to caring for patients at every stage of life, from newborns to seniors. His journey into chiropractic began more than two decades ago when he and Dr. Dan Ribley collaborated on a series of chiropractic television commercials for cable TV. During that time, Dr. Shawn was serving in the Air Force National Guard. While in service, he refused a required vaccination out of his conviction that medical decisions should be grounded in informed consent and personal choice. He was dismissed from service but received an honorable discharge, and that experience became an important turning point and inspired him to become a chiropractor.
In 1995, Dr. Shawn Co-founded Ferguson Family Chiropractic in Acworth, Georgia, and grew it into one of the busiest family and pediatric chiropractic practices in the Southeast. Today he enjoys a large family practice as an independent contractor at Ribley Family Chiropractic in Woodstock, Georgia. In 2003, he was elected to the Board of Trustees of Life University in Marietta, Georgia, where he served until 2013. In 2010, he was chosen to serve as Chairman of the Board, reflecting his leadership and commitment to the advancement of the chiropractic profession.

Life University, Marietta, GA – Doctor of Chiropractic, Magna Cum Laude

Huntingdon College – Bachelor’s in Biology

Dr. Jared Elms graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life University in 2021 and earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Huntingdon College, where he was also a collegiate football player. Since beginning practice in 2021, he has worked in a busy family practice in Florida, caring for a wide variety of patients ranging from newborns to seniors well into their 90s. His experience includes caring for pregnant women, newborns, children, athletes, adults, and senior patients, which makes him especially well-suited for the broad range of people we care for in this office. He also completed Physical Therapy Certification through Life University, which adds to the skill set he brings to patient care. Dr. Jared was inspired to pursue chiropractic after witnessing his father’s recovery from a severe car accident. Seeing firsthand how chiropractic care helped restore his father’s mobility and independence made a lasting impression on him and motivated him to help others improve their function, movement, and quality of life. Outside the office, he enjoys fitness training, outdoor sports, and spending time outside.
